A First Birthday for the Books or Rohan Patel Turns One!
Ishani and Amar Patel know how to throw a party.
Their little son turned one on October 9th, and they had a birthday bash for him this past weekend that they asked me to come photograph.
The party was football themed, and everyone in attendance, down to the little babes and myself, was dressed to fit the theme. I learned quickly that there is a FIERCE divide between Bears and Giants fans in this family. Rohan decided to remain neutral, and took his position as an adorable referee.
The careful and dedicated planning of this party was so apparent. There were relics from Rohan’s first year throughout the room. There was a slideshow full of pictures dating back to his first few moments of life, banners documenting each month of growth, and personalized menus with funny little factoids about Rohan’s milestones. It was truly amazing.
Then there was the cake.
This cake.
It’s so pretty you almost don’t want to eat it or get too close to it. Okay, you still want to eat it. But look at that beauty!
Lets talk about Rohan. Rohan’s personality is larger than his little one-year-old body. When Rohan gets excited, he does this funny little shriek that gets everyone laughing. He has a smile that will melt your heart, and is just an all around loveable little guy. And it is clear that his family and friends are just crazy about him. How could you not be crazy about this face?!
Happy first year of life, little Rohan! I hope you continue to be filled with joy and love for many years to come.
