Give Me Some Sugar

I had the opportunity to shoot the coolest little cake-decorating boutique on the block today called “Give Me Some Sugar”. First, how cute is the name?! When you walk in to the studio, you will notice the décor right off the bat.

My favorite detail is this cupcake liner lamp.

The whole studio has a very vintage feel with various baking accessories for sale lining the walls.

The owner, Alekka Sweeney, is an experienced pastry chef who spent years in the wedding cake industry, and now owns this adorable little space where she teaches classes on everything ranging from “Basic Cake Decorating” to cookie decorating, bread making, brunch classes, and, my personal favorite, a “Cocktails and Cupcakes” class.

There are so many details that make this studio Alice in Wonderland meets Willy Wonka. The bright colors bring about such a positive and inspiring vibe that matches Alekka’s energy to a tee. It is such a fun place that hosts private as well as public parties.
